We all need a little break from everyday life, a way to unwind and reward ourselves for all the work we put into everything we do each and every day. Now that I'm a Mom, I don't have as much time or unlimited funds to pamper myself, but I do still like to take some time for myself every now and again. Its important for me to recharge my batteries and take a "time out" so that I can continue to be present in my daughter's life and to love my family wholeheartedly.
Here are some ways that I like to treat myself and clear my mind, without breaking the bank.
1.) Buy a magazine and read it cover to cover.
2.) Allow myself some time to read a good book.
3.) Get a pedicure.
4.) Take a walk.
5.) Take a bath, perhaps with a glass of wine in hand.
6.) Watch movies that make me smile, like Pitch Perfect.
7.) Walk around Target. :)
8.) Get a milkshake.
9.) Have a Lindsay maintenance night: deep condition my hair, paint my nails, exfoliate my lips, shave my legs, tweeze my eyebrows, apply sunless tanner, anything to get me beauty ready.
10.) Attempt to work on the many things I have pinned on Pinterest.
