One of my favorite ways to navigate a rough time is to read encouraging verses in scripture. Yes, going on walks in the gorgeous sunshine to catch up with my girlfriends is an excellent way to cheer up, but nothing fuels my soul like hearing straight from the Lord. So I thought I would share some of my favorite verses with you.
I hope if you are having a down day, that these verses will encourage you the way they do me.
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4: 6-7
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
"Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him." James 1:12
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28
"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 16:33
And for some super awesome encouragement, you have GOT to watch our Pastor's Palm Sunday message from yesterday about "Capturing Hope." It was such a timely message for me to hear and it made me come alive!
Needed this today :) Thank you

ReplyDeleteI don't know if you could have put together a more perfect list of verses if you tried. My top three all-time favorite verses that I literally quote daily are in this post. Loved this!
