Neons are back this spring.  For those of us who bought a few neon pieces last year when the trend was hot, I have great news – you get to wear everything again. Neon colors are just as hot this spring as they were before. I try not to look too 80’s by only adding a few neon accessories to my wardrobe: a neon yellow belt, a hot pink scarf, neon accents on a bag or shoes. Small pops of neon will keep you completely on trend and current without making you look like you just stepped out of Whitney Houston’s "How Will I Know" video (although, that video is pretty sweet, so it wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing). Check out this Pinterest page for other ideas on how to rock neons this season.  And remember the rule “two plains and a fancy,” that will help you achieve an awesome neon look without going overboard.

Unplug more often. In this extremely fast paced society we live in, we are ALWAYS connected to our phones (myself included – myself way too included).  Some people might think by always checking e-mail, checking social media, surfing the web and doing other things on our handy smart phones that we are connected more to others. That is just untrue. In fact, it took one of my coworkers passing me on the street and pointing out that every time he saw me walking down the street I was always looking down at my phone to get me to realize just how unconnected I am from the people in my everyday life. Put down your phones, take breaks, give your brain a rest. The people in your life will appreciate the special personal connection they get by truly interacting with you.
